Job summary

Cuyahoga Community College is seeking a Full‑Time Support Staff member to lead day‑to‑day operations within the campus Counseling department. You will coordinate schedules, supervise staff, and drive onboarding and outreach to support student success.

The role requires strong organizational and budget skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance services. Ohio residency is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (significant related experience may substitute).
• Experience supervising, planning, assigning, scheduling, and ensuring quality of work.
• Experience planning, preparing, and monitoring a department budget.
• Experience making decisions with major implications for management and operations.
• Experience in roles requiring diverse problem-solving methods.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and monitors Counseling Office at the assigned campus.
• Adjusts Counselor work schedules to meet service hours and contractual obligations.
• Promotes available services to students to increase awareness and usage.
• Oversees onboarding processes and connects students to counseling and support services.
• Maintains relationships with other departments and campus student success teams.
• Develops procedures to improve office efficiency and service delivery.
• Participates in meetings, workshops, and special projects as assigned by leadership.
• Assists in budget planning and procurement for the counseling department.
