Job summary

Delve Underground is seeking a Lead Cost Estimator to join our North American offices. You will lead cost estimating on complex civil, structural and tunnel projects and manage a team of project cost estimators.

Responsibilities include conceptual and production-based estimates, take-offs, maintaining estimating databases, and collaborating on risk assessments. Occasional field visits may be required to observe construction means and methods and gather data.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' direct field experience on heavy civil tunnel projects; 20+ years' experience preferred.
• Exposure to cost estimating and pricing work.
• Exposure to construction claims or change order pricing.
• Strong analytical and computer software skills.
• Specification writing and review.
• Scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost estimating on complex civil, structural and tunnel projects.
• Lead a group of project cost estimators.
• Perform and oversee cost estimating efforts, including conceptual and production-based estimates.
• Take-off and quote solicitations; maintenance of estimating database.
• Occasional field visits to observe construction means/methods and gather data.
• Provide input to risk assessments and QA reviews.
