Job summary

Delve Underground is seeking a Lead Cost Estimator to base in any North American office location. You will lead cost estimating efforts on complex civil, structural, and tunnel projects and manage a team of estimators, coordinating with design and construction teams to produce accurate, timely estimates.

The role requires a strong background in heavy civil tunnel work, robust analytical and software skills, and the ability to review design documentation for constructability and cost

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ field experience on heavy civil tunnel projects; 20+ years preferred.
• Experience with heavy civil contractor underground portfolios desirable.
• Exposure to cost estimating and pricing work.
• Exposure to construction claims or change orders pricing.
• Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Professional registration or certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost estimating on complex civil, structural and tunnel projects.
• Lead a group of project cost estimators.
• Perform and oversee estimates: conceptual, production-based, take-offs and quotes.
• Maintain estimating database and QA of others’ work.
• Occasional field visits to observe construction means/methods.
