Job summary

Delve Underground is seeking a Lead Cost Estimator for our North American offices to lead cost estimating on complex civil, structural and tunnel projects. You will head a team of estimators, develop conceptual and production-based estimates, and maintain cost databases.

The role requires extensive tunnel experience, a civil/construction management degree, and strong analytical software skills. This senior position offers full benefits and growth potential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' direct field experience on one or more heavy civil tunnel projects; 20+ years' experience preferred.
• Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Professional registration or certification, or ability to obtain within the 1st year of employment.
• Strong analytical and computer software skills; exposure to cost estimating and pricing.
• Experience with construction claims or change order pricing.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost estimating efforts on complex civil, structural and tunnel projects.
• Lead a group of project cost estimators.
• Conceptual estimates using unit price and production-based methods; production estimates and schedules.
• Take-off and quote solicitations; maintain estimating database.
• Occasional field visits to observe latest construction means/methods.
• Collaborate on risk assessments to quantify project risks.
• Review in-progress drawings for constructability and cost-related issues.
• Provide QA review on work by others.
