Job summary

Delve Underground seeks a Lead Cost Estimator for its North American offices. You will lead cost estimating on complex civil, structural, and tunnel projects, oversee a team of estimators, and drive data-driven pricing strategies.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in heavy civil tunnel work, 20+ years preferred, engineering or construction management degree, and experience with claims pricing and risk assessment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years direct field experience on heavy civil tunnel projects
• 20+ years preferred in heavy civil tunnel projects
• Experience with cost estimating and pricing work
• Experience with construction claims or change orders pricing
• Engineering/Construction Management degree and professional registration or ability to obtain

Responsibilities

• Lead cost estimating efforts on complex civil, structural and tunnel projects
• Oversee a team of project cost estimators
• Develop conceptual estimates using unit price and production-based methods
• Create production-based estimates and schedules for design deliverables
• Perform take-offs and prepare quotes
• Maintain estimating databases and participate in site visits for data gathering
• Collaborate on project risk assessments and quantify uncertainties
