Job summary

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division is seeking a Large Surface Combatants Cost Team Leader to oversee cost support for the Code 8110 and D-PAE Combatants portfolio. You will manage a 6–7 person team of cost analysts/engineers and brief senior Navy and DOW leadership on technical and programmatic cost matters.

This permanent, full‑time role offers telework eligibility on an ad‑hoc basis, travel opportunities, and the chance to influence lifecycle cost estimates, budgets, and LRSS

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• DAWIA certification in the applicable area within timeframes.
• Willingness to travel (CONUS/OCONUS).
• Experience with cost estimates and lifecycle cost assessments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cost support for Code 8110 and D-PAE Combatants in the BBGN program.
• Provide cost estimating support for PLCCE, budgets, concept estimates, and LRSS submissions.
• Lead a 6–7 person team of cost analysts/engineers; report to the Cost Director.
• Interface with Program Office and Ship Design Manager for cost-related requests.
• Brief and defend the team’s work to senior Navy and DOW leadership.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, management, and mentoring.
