Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Current DCJS certification.
• Working knowledge of correctional policies, procedures, and practices.
• Ability to organize, plan, schedule and supervise the work of others.
• Ability to read and comprehend workplace policies and procedures and to prepare workplace reports and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide first line supervision to Corrections Officers and Corrections Officer Trainees.
• Supervise and monitor staff on assigned shift for safety and security.
• Communicate with management, staff, visitors, inmates and the public.
• Lead and counsel staff; ensure training completion.
• Maintain a safe and productive workforce.
