Job summary

State of West Virginia is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor at Mount Olive Correctional Complex to plan, organize, and direct upkeep of a correctional facility. You will oversee skilled trades, ensure safety compliance, and manage projects and schedules.

Direct inmate contact may be required in this role. The position emphasizes supervisory responsibilities, budget planning, and reporting, with additional pay supplements for Critical Vacancy Pay facilities and annual pay differentials

Qualifications

• Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent.
• Five years of full-time or equivalent maintenance/construction experience.
• At least two years in a supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct upkeep and management of the facility.
• Direct the work of trade workers in maintenance and repair.
• Inspect facilities to ensure proper maintenance and safety compliance.
• Develop and revise plans for maintenance projects and renovations.
• Prepare cost estimates and manage supply inventories.
