Job summary

State-of-West-Virgini in West Virginia seeks a versatile maintenance lead to run daily facilities operations. You will coordinate with the Building Grounds Manager, oversee inmate crews, and repair HVAC, boilers, and electrical systems to keep the site safe and efficient.The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, four years of related work, and possibly EPA refrigerant certification. A weekly 12-hour security shift is included.

Qualifications

• Four years of full-time or equivalent experience in heating, cooling, ventilation or the mechanical or building trades.
• Graduation from a standard four year high school or GED or four year apprenticeship program or two year post secondary technical school.
• Specific positions may require EPA certification for refrigerant recycling under the Clean Air Act.
• Mandatory weekly 12-hour security shift will be part of duties.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of facility infrastructure and manage work orders.
• Coordinate with Building Grounds Manager to drive projects to completion.
• Oversee inmate crews and repair HVAC, boilers, kitchen equipment, water plant and electrical motors.
• Maintain Roofs, landscaping and water lines while monitoring budget efficiency.
• Ensure perimeter safety, site lighting and generator readiness.
