Job summary

State-of-West-Virgini seeks an experienced maintenance supervisor for a West Virginia correctional facility. You will plan, organize, and direct upkeep, leading skilled trades and inmate staff to maintain electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and structural systems.

The role requires five years in maintenance with at least two in a supervisory capacity, high school completion, and strong regulatory compliance knowledge. Salary includes special CVPF pay and year-end pay differentials.

Qualifications

• Five years of full-time or equivalent maintenance experience, two in a supervisory role.
• Experience with buildings, grounds, electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Graduation from high school or equivalent; college study may substitute for experience.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to manage inventories and projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct upkeep of a correctional facility.
• Supervise skilled and semi-skilled trade workers in maintenance tasks.
• Inspect facilities and ensure compliance with fire, OSHA, and applicable laws.
• Develop plans for maintenance projects and prepare cost estimates.
• Direct inmate contact as required and oversee security-related duties.
