Job description

At ThoughtSpot, we’re on a mission to make the world more fact-driven. As the leader in search and AI-driven analytics, we empower organizations to uncover insights, act on them, and drive business results. We value innovation, collaboration, and a relentless focus on delivering impact for our customers.

The Role:

We're seeking a Senior Manager of Corporate Events to own and lead the planning, project management, and execution of our global corporate events strategy. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role responsible for driving our presence at the most important flagship conferences, customer summits, and product launches on the calendar.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned events professional with a knack for creative vision and a proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale events on time, within budget, and tightly aligned with business objectives — all while managing a heavy event schedule and a wide range of senior stakeholders. This role comes with real resources behind it: you'll have the support of an events agency to help execute deliverables, along with the budget and organizational backing to bring bold, ambitious ideas to life. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, think big, and know how to turn a creative concept into a flawless on-the-ground experience, we want to hear from you.

Location & Reporting Line: The role reports to the VP of Marketing and is located in our Mountain View, CA or Chicago, IL offices.

What You'll Do:
  • Strategic Event Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for ThoughtSpot’s corporate events, ensuring alignment with overarching marketing and business goals.
  • End-to-End Project Management: Create detailed project plans, timelines, and task assignments for each event. Ensure all project deliverables are met, risks are mitigated, and stakeholders remain informed and engaged throughout the event lifecycle. Leverage project management tools to track progress, manage resources, and ensure flawless execution.
  • Event Execution: Lead the planning and delivery of events in the Americas region, including logistics, vendor management, registration, technology, and on-site coordination.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, sales, product, sales engineering and executive teams to define event objectives, develop content, and ensure cohesive messaging.
  • Budget & ROI Management: Create and manage event budgets, ensuring optimal use of resources while tracking ROI against established KPIs.
  • Post-Event Analysis: Conduct post-event evaluations, gathering feedback and performance metrics to continuously improve processes and outcomes. Supervise event coordinators, vendors, and contractors to deliver world-class experiences. Foster relationships with key external partners to ensure high-quality services and outcomes.
What You'll Bring:
  • 8–10+ years of experience in corporate event management with a strong focus on project management, preferably in the tech industry.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, including experience with tools such as Slack, Google suite, Asana, Wrike, or similar platforms.
  • Proven ability to execute large-scale global events with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Expertise in budget management, contract negotiation and vendor coordination.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
