The Webber Restaurant Group is seeking a Lead Cook/Supervisor to join our kitchen team in Peabody, MA. The ideal candidate will manage line cooks, prepare diverse dishes, and uphold quality and presentation standards.

Qualifications

  • Two years experience as a cook in a high volume kitchen.
  • Knowledge of different cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Willingness to learn new recipes and stations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts is a plus.

The Position

Lead Cook/Supervisor is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and be able to prepare delicious meals for our customers. The Lead Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring that all food is cooked to perfection and presented in an appealing manner. The successful candidate will have a passion for food, be knowledgeable about different cooking techniques and have experience in preparing a variety of cuisines.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Cook/Supervisor should have the ability to open and/or close the kitchen in the chef's absence and supervise opening and closing procedures for all line cooks and dish team.
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
  • Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
  • Ensure that all food is cooked to the correct temperature and presented in an appealing manner.
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Keep the kitchen clean and organized, following sanitation guidelines.
  • Work with the kitchen team to ensure that all food is prepared on time and to the required quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the management team to ensure that the kitchen is operating efficiently.
