Qualifications

• Food Handlers’ certification from local health department.
• High School diploma or GED.
• 2-4 years related experience and/or training.
• 3-6 months related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Cook 2 Lead responsibilities and oversee daily kitchen prep.
• Provide quality customer service to residents, families, and staff.
• Adhere to standards of service and supervise kitchen staff.
• Prepare food, maintain high quality, taste and presentation during peak meals.
• Assist in training staff on food preparation and handling.
• Ensure uniform, grooming and cleanliness standards across staff.
• Assist in menu planning and standardized recipes.
• Ensure quantities meet menu requirements and control food costs.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and safety; follow health guidelines.
• Communicate with dining services leadership to meet service goals.
