Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 2 years cooking experience and leadership skills.
  • Alternate: general knowledge at high school level with 2 years of intermediate cook experience and leadership skills.
  • Must obtain ServSafe food safety certification within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of full-time and student staff in daily menu preparation.
  • Follow recipes and standard procedures for station.
  • Receive, store, and rotate food supplies safely.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and proper sanitation.
  • Train and guide lower-level cooks; monitor quality.
  • Coordinate prep and timing for menu items.
  • Assist in other kitchen departments as needed.
