Job summary

Westside Community Schools Contract Meal Services in Omaha, NE is seeking a part-time Kitchen Production Assistant for the 10-month Contract Meal Kitchen program. Starting immediately, you will assist with food preparation, operate kitchen equipment, and help ensure accurate portioning for meals.

You will collaborate with school staff and students in a busy kitchen, adhere to safety and sanitation standards, complete cleaning tasks, and support the Nutrition Services department.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food service and production.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Ability to follow directions from Kitchen Manager.
• Knowledge of cleaning kitchen and food preparation.
• Excellent counting skills.

Responsibilities

• Kitchen food preparation and production.
• Operate all kitchen equipment for food prep.
• Maintain accurate counting of portions and related food production data.
• Clean kitchen and equipment as required.
• Transport and handle cases of food, beverages, and supplies.
