Job summary

State of Michigan is seeking a lead cook to supervise prisoner workers in the preparation and service of meals for prisoners and staff in a correctional facility, following MDOC standardized processes, recipes, menus and reports. The role requires high school completion and two years of quantity cooking experience, including one year at Cook E6 level.

You will oversee meal production, ensure adherence to safety standards, and coordinate with supervisory staff to maintain efficient kitchen

Qualifications

• Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.
• Two years of experience in quantity cooking and food preparation, including one year equivalent to a Cook E6.
