Job summary

Mountain Valley Nursing in Deer Lodge, MT seeks a dedicated Cook to lead food preparation in our dining facilities, ensuring meals meet posted menus and safety standards. You will work with the dietary team to deliver high-quality, timely meals in a skilled nursing setting.

Requirements include a valid Food Handler Permit, a high school diploma or equivalent, and prior cook experience; familiarity with long-term care environments is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Food Handler Permit.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience as a Cook or similar role.
• Working in a Skilled Nursing Facility experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• This position is responsible for the timely meal preparation of all meals consistent with the posted dining schedule and approved menus.
• Cooks must be able to prepare meals in a timely manner and have time management skills.
• Cooks are also in charge of pulling and properly storing meat correctly.
• Making sure all temp logs and cleaning schedules are getting completed.
