Job summary

Sage Creek Post-Acute in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a cook to manage the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. You will maintain a safe, clean kitchen, follow menus, prepare meals in large quantities, and supervise when needed.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least one year hospital or long-term care cooking experience, ability to read procedures and recipes, and possession of or ability to obtain a ServSafe certificate.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook in a hospital or long-term care facility for at least 1 year.
• Ability to read technical procedures, recipes, and follow prepared menus.
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certificate.
• Must remain in good standing with health department.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner.
• Prepare meals in large quantities and according to menus.
• Record food temperatures and handle dietary restrictions.
• Assist with serving meals and maintain sanitation.
• Supervise in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
