Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Lead Cook to prepare meals per approved menus, train dietary staff, and supervise operations in the absence of leadership. You will ensure sanitation, monitor temperatures, and manage portion sizes for a senior living community.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, cooking experience in senior living, and Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain it within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a cook, preferably in senior living for fine dining.
• Leadership experience.
• Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Basic understanding of food service operations and ability to read, write, and perform simple calculations.
• Ability to learn quickly, follow directions, and work well in a team.

Responsabilités

• Prepare meals according to approved menus and recipes.
• Train and supervise dietary staff, and lead in absence of supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe kitchen at all times.
• Monitor temperatures and document twice daily. Record temperatures three times daily during shifts.
• Control portions to minimize waste and manage food quantities.
• Attend in-service trainings and staff meetings as required.
• Be familiar with residents' dietary needs and adapt menus with supervisor approval.
• Support confidentiality and professional conduct with residents and staff.
