Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrate basic math and counting skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of foods according to recipes and guidelines.
• Set up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.
• Safely use knives and other utensils and operate ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam and use diverse cooking methods.
• Arrange, garnish and portion food according to guidelines.
• Store food safely following policies and procedures.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor toward guests and coworkers.
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and protect company assets.
