Job summary

Aramark is seeking a motivated Cook to join our team. You will prepare a variety of dishes, follow standardized recipes, and bring creativity to food preparation while adhering to production guidelines and safety procedures.

You'll work with fresh ingredients and reliable equipment in a fast-paced environment, delivering quality meals and excellent guest service. Prior cooking experience and food safety orientation are valued, with opportunities to grow skills and learn new cuisines.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role.
• Knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.
• Safely use a variety of utensils including knives.
• Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam and use various cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods.
• Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to guidelines.
• Store food properly following safety policies and procedures.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor toward guests and coworkers.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures including food safety and sanitation.
