Job summary

Lucky Strike Entertainment in Fair Lawn, NJ is seeking a Lead Cook for a part-time role in a vibrant kitchen. The lead will supervise staff, ensure food quality, and maintain sanitation standards in a high-energy entertainment venue.

You will train kitchen staff, manage food preparation on the line, and support customer service with prompt, friendly responses. Alcohol and food safety certifications must be completed within 14–30 days of joining.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; culinary/food management degree a plus.
• Three to five years of operational experience in kitchen/food service.
• Must be able to obtain alcohol service certification within 14 days and food safety program within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead in the kitchen in absence of Kitchen Manager/Chef.
• Plan and prepare food according to prep sheets and manuals.
• Mentor and supervise kitchen staff on procedures, sanitation, and cost controls.
• Maintain sanitation and organization of cooking and storage areas.
• Train staff and ensure quality and timely service to customers.
• Assist with deliveries and ensure perishable items are rotated properly.
• Handle customer questions and requests promptly and guide to resolution.
