Job summary

Mauna Kea Resort in Waimea, HI is seeking a Cook III to join the Culinary & Stewarding team. You will be responsible for preparing and executing designated stations and supporting banquet service.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of related kitchen experience, familiarity with menu items, and the ability to maintain high standards of food safety and presentation. Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years related kitchen work experience.
• Food Safety Certificate preferred.
• Valid TB Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare designated restaurant, cafeteria and banquet hot/cold items.
• Prepare sauces, dressings and mise according to recipes and menu specifications.
• Set up, prepare and breakdown station for restaurants and banquets.
• Check produce, meats, seafood for freshness and proper storage.
• Communicate guest requests to chef or lead cook.
• Assist with inventories and banquet plating as assigned.
• Maintain clean, safe and sanitary work area.
