Job summary

Mauna Kea Resort is seeking a Cook I to assist the culinary team in a busy hotel kitchen on-site in Waimea, HI. You will support chefs, handle food preparation, and ensure products are rotated properly to meet top quality standards.

The role involves following recipes, maintaining food safety, and collaborating with front-of-house staff to satisfy guests and VIPs. This position requires the ability to work long hours and lift moderate weights in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 6 years related kitchen work experience.

Responsibilities

• Support all Chefs in a busy hotel kitchen delivering high-quality food.
• Receive product from vendors and rotate inventory to standards.
• Inform F&B service staff of 86'd items and specials throughout service.
• Prepare, season and cook a variety of dishes to meet standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in all areas of the kitchen.
• Assist with line and cooler checks and prep for daily service.
