Job summary

Westminster Communities of Florida is seeking a full-time Cook to prepare quality meals for residents, guests and staff in a high-volume dining environment. The Cook will follow standardized recipes, maintain sanitary stations and assist with kitchen organization.

Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent, Florida Safe Staff certification or obtainable within 90 days, and at least 3 years of culinary experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Florida Safe Staff certification required or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of date of hire.
• Ability to read, write and speak the English language and understand and follow written and oral directions.

Responsibilities

• Setup workstations according to established guidelines.
• Prepare all food items in accordance with standardized recipes in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Distributes prepared food to all areas of service accurately and consistently in preparation and presentation.
• Cleans and maintains station by practicing good safety, sanitation and organization skills.
• Assist with the cleaning, sanitation and organization of the kitchen and equipment.
