Job summary

Westminster Baldwin Park community in Winter Park, FL is seeking a full-time Cook to prepare quality meals for residents, guests, and staff. The role reports to the Chef at Westminster Baldwin Park and emphasizes high-volume, quality dining.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma, Florida Safe Staff certification (or obtain within 90 days), and solid English communication, basic math, and leadership potential. Experience in a busy dining environment with Microsoft Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Setup work stations according to established guidelines.

• Clean and maintain the kitchen station following safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with cleaning, sanitation and organization of the kitchen and equipment.

We are currently searching for Cooks on a Full Time status to work in the new restaurant at Westminster Baldwin Park community. In this role, the Cook prepares quality food using quality ingredients for residents, guests and employees. This position reports to the Chef at Westminster Baldwin Park.

COOK | Full-Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

Prepares quality food using quality ingredients for residents, guests and employees.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

• Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Communities.
• 1. Setup work stations according to established guidelines.
• 2. Prepare all food items in accordance with standardized recipes in a sanitary and timely manner.
• 3. Distributes prepared food to all areas of service accurately and consistent in preparation and presentation. Restocks items as needed throughout the shift.
• 4. Cleans and maintains station by practicing good safety, sanitation and organization skills.
• 5. Assist with the cleaning, sanitation and organization of the kitchen and equipment.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Ability to perform basic math skills.
• Ability to learn computer programs as defined by Westminster Communities of Florida.
• Willingness to provide a leadership role.
