Job summary

Ventura Services Florida is seeking a Lead Cook to prepare foods per recipes and production sheets, maintain a sanitary kitchen, and supervise fellow cooks. You will ensure meals meet quality standards for patients, staff, and catering events, while following therapeutic diet restrictions and portion control.

The role requires experience with a variety of kitchen equipment, accurate measurements, and strong communication skills in English (Spanish preferred).

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in large-scale food preparation.
• Proven experience following recipes and production sheets.
• Knowledge of cooking methods/procedures and dietary restrictions.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consistently uses recipes and production sheets.
• Prepares hot foods for patients, staff and catering functions.
• Adjusts oven/thermostat controls for various kitchen equipment.
• Ensure proper temperature, taste, and compliance with dietary restrictions.
• Supervise other cooks and assist with kitchen operations.
• Cross-train in other areas when applicable.
