Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Denver Downtown is seeking a line cook to plan and prepare a variety of dishes for the restaurant and catered events. You will help manage food costs and portion control while maintaining high-quality presentation, and you will creatively accommodate guest requests to enhance their dining experience.

This role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, and flexibility to work mornings, evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous food handling or prep/line experience is required.
• You must be able to stand for an entire shift and lift at least 25 pounds.
• You must obtain a Food Handler’s Permit.
• Applicants must have a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare various food items and meals for the restaurant and catered functions.
• Oversee food cost and portion control without sacrificing quality.
• Creatively accommodate special requests from guests.
• Ensure food deliveries are timely, accurate and meet presentation standards.
• Assist with cleanliness, organization and sanitation of the restaurant and kitchen.
• Assist with inventory, ordering and receiving of all food and beverage items.
• Support hotel goals through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.
