Job summary

PENN Entertainment in Colorado is seeking a Lead Cook to support the outlet chef in daily operations within a fast-paced casino kitchen. You will help run specials, train staff, manage inventory, and report equipment issues while maintaining high standards of food safety and guest service.

The role requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and obtain Serve Safe and BASSET certifications.

Qualifications

• Must obtain Serve Safe Food Certification.
• Must obtain BASSET certification.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to acquire and maintain a gaming badge.
• Must be 21 years or older to serve alcohol.
• Must be 21 years or older to work on the casino floor.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist outlet chef with day-to-day operations, specials, training and inventory.
• Provide opening and closing guidance for cooks and ensure work is completed; understand portions of the menu.
• Perform reasonable duties outside the position’s description as needed.
• Provide “A” service to all guests with high standards.
• Understand and inform guests of property promotions within the outlet.
• Perform opening/closing procedures; keep venue clean and organized.
• Maintain appearance and grooming standards.
• Follow all safety and compliance procedures.
• Maintain a clean kitchen and safe work environment.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across departments and with guests.
• Maintain rapport and communicate with cooks; work as a team.
