Job summary

Willow Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Cook to join our culinary team in Winston-Salem, NC. You will prepare meals for residents, adhering to dietary needs and approved menus, while maintaining safety and hygiene standards.

The ideal candidate holds a ServSafe certificate, is 18+, and has a High School Diploma or GED. You will work collaboratively with staff in a supportive, resident-centered environment that values training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Maintains ServSafe certificate (food services sanitation certificate)
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School diploma or GED accepted
• Ability to work in an environment caring for residents without safety/health risk
• Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for residents, considering dietary needs and special diets
• Strong knowledge of proper food storage and preparation
• Knowledge of safety and sanitary requirements
• Knowledge of state Dietary regulations
• Be pleasant, friendly and helpful, ensuring proper and timely service
• Keep work environment and stations clean and sanitized
