Job summary

Nana Management Services, LLC is seeking a Lead Cook to oversee the preparation, production, and presentation of foods at the Land’s End Resort in Homer, Alaska. You will ensure quality, sanitation, and timely service, working closely with supervisors and kitchen staff.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, ServSafe or equivalent, and at least three years of lead cook experience. English proficiency required; familiarity with municipal food handler’s card.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Must have or obtain a Municipality of Anchorage Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe Certification contingent upon 30 days of hire.
• Must have three (3) years of documented lead cook experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs main line food and cooking production duties as assigned per shift.
• Reviews daily needs with supervisor, completes production sheets, reviews reports, and verifies supply needs.
• Assists with menu and recipe development.
• Responsible for quantity and quality control and overall sanitation of assigned areas.
• May supervise and train food service personnel.
• Arranges for kitchen helpers to complete smaller item preparation.
• Oversees serving lines and areas, ensuring proper stock, setup and cleanliness.
• Fills in for other kitchen positions as needed.
• Observes rotation procedures for produce and dairy.
• Maintains equipment and storage areas following sanitation and safety rules.
• May assist other food service personnel as needed.
• May have supervisory responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned.
