Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation in Homer, AK seeks a Chef Manager to lead our hotel kitchen operations at Land’s End Resort. You will oversee menu planning, food safety, cost control, inventory, and staff development to ensure exceptional quality and service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 5 years as a Chef Manager in hospitality, Supervisory experience, HACCP knowledge, and ServSafe certification within 30 days. Strong leadership and proficiency in MS Office are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least five (5) years of demonstrated experience as a Chef Manager within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting with an emphasis on menu development, food/beverage cost control and inventory management.
• Prior supervisory experience and knowledge of food preparation and quality control procedures.
• Thorough knowledge of HACCP program.
• Food Handler's Card of ServSafe upon 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of food production equipment and safety.
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments timely.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record for past 3 years.
• Contract requires English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Directs a high quality, cost effective kitchen and food preparation operation.
• Ensure HACCP and safety standards are followed by all staff.
• Menu planning, ordering, and inventory with other food service activities.
• Maintain production records and staffing for all locations.
• Plan and implement staff training programs.
• Develop budgets, expenditures, reports, payroll matters, and scheduling.
• Supervise interviewing, hiring, and training of staff; manage performance.
• Ensure kitchen locations are properly staffed and duties understood.
• Perform high-volume food prep when needed and fill in for vacancies.
• Foster sanitation and safety, and collaborate on special events or themes.
