Job summary

Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community's LaunchPad Golf is seeking a Lead Cook to craft memorable dishes for high-volume service and events. You will support kitchen operations, follow recipes, and help deliver a top-tier dining experience.

You will supervise cooks, ensure freshness, maintain sanitation, and contribute to a seamless, high-quality culinary operation for both daily service and special events.

Qualifications

• 7+ years cooking experience in line, banquets/catering, or production.
• Basic knowledge of sanitation practices, quality control, recipe interpretation, and prep duties.
• Proven ability to work as a team player and support overall kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares more complex food items according to SOPs and sanitation guidelines.
• Assists with setup, prep work, and delivery of food products.
• Directs other cooks to ensure timely, accurate orders for the assigned station.
• Completes all prep sheets accurately and on time.
• Maintains cleanliness and order of kitchen equipment and workstation.
• Maintains cooler and storage areas in an organized and sanitary condition.
• Rotates food products to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Assigns prep work to Line Cooks and Culinary Apprentices.
• Performs tasks related to special events and functions.
