Job summary

Nexus of Geneva in Geneva, IL is seeking a Cook for the Dietary Department to prepare meals, supervise staff, and ensure timely, compliant service while upholding high sanitation standards.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or Culinary Tech, ability to read recipes and production sheets, Serve Safe certification (or to earn within 90 days), and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. A $200 sign-on bonus is offered after 90 days; COVID vaccine is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion hot and cold menu items according to production sheets/maps.
• Serve resident meals at correct service times.
• Monitor temperatures for food and equipment; record as required.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and maintain sanitation standards per Health Dept. regulations.
• Support dietary staff and participate in staff huddles and training.
