Nexus of Chicago Heights is seeking a Cook to perform dietary duties in our facility. You will prepare hot and cold items, portion meals, and ensure timely service while maintaining high sanitation standards.

Responsibilities include supervising staff in the Dietary Department when needed, tracking inventory, and supporting the Dietary Manager with daily operations. Must be Serve Safe certified or able to earn within 90 days.

Formación

• High School or Culinary Tech graduate.
• Ability to read, understand and follow recipes, production sheets, diet orders, tray tickets and workforce responsibilities.
• Serve Safe certified or able to earn within 90 days.

Responsabilidades

• Under supervision of Dietary Manager, oversee staff when needed.
• Prepare and portion hot and cold menu items per production sheet and recipes.
• Serve resident meals at correct times.
• Cover staff absent due to illness.
• Record temperatures of food and equipment.
• Interact with residents and staff to ensure satisfaction and safety.
• Maintain sanitation meeting health department standards.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment; follow policies.
• Willing to work flexible hours.
• Track inventory and communicate low supplies or place orders.
• Label, wrap and date unused items.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Follow Pollak Innovation Management policies.
• In the absence of the Dietary Manager, supervise staff and conduct daily huddles.
