Job summary

Archway Management is seeking a Cook for the Dietary Department at Nexus of Palos Hills to prepare meals, supervise staff, and ensure production aligns with the menu and recipes while maintaining safety and quality. This role requires reading recipes, following production sheets, recording temperatures, managing inventory, and providing daily resident interaction.

Serve Safe certification is required or must be earned within 90 days; COVID-19 vaccination is required; willingness to work flexible

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow recipes and production sheets.
• Ability to understand diet orders and tray tickets.
• Serve Safe certification required or to be earned within the first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and portions according to menus and recipes.
• Supervise dietary staff and ensure timely service to residents.
• Maintain sanitation standards and record food temperatures.
• Track inventory and communicate shortages to Dietary Manager.
• Provide daily interaction with residents to ensure satisfaction.

Education

High School or Culinary Tech Graduate
