About This Position
The Lead Cook / Cook Supervisor will be based in a higher education school setting. This role involves executing daily/weekly menus according to company recipes and managing daily operations of the commissary. Key responsibilities include preparing engaging meals, leading a team of cooks, managing prep work, and ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Ensure food safety standards are consistently followed.
  • Be flexible and team-oriented.
  • Possess 3+ years of line cook or culinary experience.
  • Have 1+ year of management experience.
  • Be willing to learn USDA National School Lunch Program compliance requirements.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and level-headedness.
  • Be punctual and adhere to attendance policies.
  • Be able to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Be interested in and committed to Genuine Foods’ mission to use food to support students’ physical and mental well-being.
  • Be able to work in a school environment.
