Job summary

Tigg's Canteen Services is hiring a part-time Lead Cook to manage the kitchen at Iosco County Jail in Tawas City, MI. This role includes leading inmates, overseeing meal prep, and keeping the kitchen organized while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work well in a structured correctional environment.
• Ability to read and follow company recipes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Flexibility to work varying days and hours between 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
• Ability to obtain clearance approval to enter the facility.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and assist inmates within the kitchen.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

The Lead Cook is an important part of the daily kitchen operation. You'll help prepare meals, maintain an organized kitchen, and provide leadership and direction to inmates working in the kitchen.
