Job description

Join to apply for the Lead Cook role at StepStone Hospitality.

We are currently seeking a full-time Cook for our newly renovated property. Scheduled hours will vary weekly between Monday and Sunday. Weekends and holidays are required.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain health and sanitation standards.
  • Label and date all food products.
  • Open and close the kitchen in the absence of supervisors.
  • Follow all written recipes for menu items including breakfast, room service, Grab and Go, and dinner menus.
  • Report out-of-stock items to the supervisor.
  • Prepare for the next shift and manage inventory.
  • Assist with setting up restaurant and employee cafeteria buffet.
  • Supervise and assist dishwashers and pantry personnel.
  • Perform duties as per the Prep List schedule.
  • Prepare dressings and cold sauces.
  • Assist with banquet preparations as needed.
Requirements
  • Ability to lift and pull at least 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity including pushing, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Understanding of kitchen functions and machinery.
  • Flexibility with schedule to meet hotel business needs.
