Job summary

Tigg's Canteen Services is seeking a Permanent Full-Time Lead Cook for Marquette County Jail in Marquette, MI. The role requires integrity, a strong character, and the ability to work in a structured environment.

Responsibilities include leading meal preparation, following recipes, and ensuring cleanup; weekend/holiday shifts may be required. Wage starts at $22.00 per hour with medical, dental, vision, 401K, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead, instruct, and assist with meal preparations including cooking, baking and cleanup.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work well in a structured correctional environment.
• Previous food service experience is a plus, but training is available.

Requirements Include

• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts - days and hours (between 8:00am - 6:00pm)
• Clearance approval into the facility

Salary: $22.00 per hour
