Job summary

Carlisle Companies in Memphis seeks a SR. Controls Technician to support reliability of automated equipment in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

You will troubleshoot electrical and control systems, lead on-shift resolution of higher-level issues, and install/repair PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and other components. The role requires strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, attention to detail, and the willingness to work rotating shifts and on-call hours, with about 10% travel to other sites for

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with technical schooling or industrial certifications, or 3+ years of controls experience.
• Experience in an industrial controls environment with PLCs, HMIs and drive systems.
• Ability to interpret schematics and electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation and electrical control issues.
• Lead on-shift troubleshooting for higher-level electrical issues.
• Install, maintain, and repair control system components (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors).
• Provide on-shift training on control systems to maintenance and operations staff.
• Support LOTO program audits and training.
• Monitor downtime and drive root cause problem solving.
• Assist preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
• Coordinate hardware upgrades and procurement for control systems.
• Maintain plant control systems for mixers, conveyors, compressors, pumps, etc.
• Daily monitoring of key utilities (chillers, compressors, fire systems).
• Execute and document work orders including PM tasks.
• Support equipment installations, calibrations, rebuilds, and repairs.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to improve system performance.
• Maintain and update technical skills including hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Ensure OSHA safety compliance and internal policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
