Job summary

Veolia Group is seeking an experienced controls engineer to support the production of filters and membranes at the Minnetonka, MN plant. The role focuses on PLC programming, system integration, and improving control systems for water purification membranes.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in controls, with knowledge of Allen Bradley, Rockwell, RSLogix/Studio, and networking; will interface with operations, engineering, and maintenance to meet EHS and production goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems & Controls Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience with controls system integration hardware and software including Allen Bradley control systems, Rockwell Factory Talk Studio ME/SE, RSLogix 5000 or Studio 5000, RSLinx, and Cisco.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory electrical codes and ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with PLC and controls programming.

Responsibilities

  • Perform continuous improvement of controls systems including integrating systems, PLC programming, PLC networking, and HMI configuration.
  • Support daily manufacturing technical and process needs; assist operations, engineering, and maintenance with equipment problems and system upgrades.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to meet EHS, production, quality, and cost goals within schedule and budget.
  • Apply lean manufacturing, six sigma methods, ergonomic designs, ISO 9000 principles to solve engineering issues.
  • Interface with vendors and internal contacts to convey technical and EHS perspectives.
  • Perform I/O checks and instrument scaling for new equipment installations.
  • Review and modify mechanical/electrical drawings and process documentation; provide concept drawings and equipment layouts.
  • Ensure engineering designs and data are complete and well documented for future reference.
