Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to lead problem solving for tooling, equipment, and conveyors on the manufacturing floor. You will set up and maintain automation systems, review cycle times, and implement improvements across plants.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in controls engineering, familiarity with PLCs (Siemens/Allen-Bradley), AutoCAD, and networking protocols. A Bachelor's degree is preferred; substantial hands-on experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years in controls engineering; internship/co-op count.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Lead problem solving to resolve tooling, equipment and conveyor downtime.
• Set up and maintain industrial bar code printers.
• Review cycle times using plant monitoring software; oversee project installations.
• Program new installations of automation and machinery.
• Review risk assessments and ensure equipment safety.
