Job summary

Duravant is looking for an experienced Controls Engineer to program and troubleshoot complex packaging machinery from concept to installation at customer facilities.

The ideal candidate will possess a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, have over 5 years of experience in programming PLCs and HMIs, and must be proficient in AutoCAD electrical. Responsibilities include generating PLC programs, troubleshooting machinery, and managing projects to certification standards. Occasional travel is required for service work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automated controls design experience.
• Knowledge of risk assessments, UL, CE, and CSA.
• Ability to work independently and supervise others.

Responsibilities

• Generate PLC and HMI programs for packaging machinery.
• Design electrical schematics using AutoCAD electrical.
• Act as lead controls engineer on projects.
• Troubleshoot machines and support checkout.
