Job summary

ProMach Benchmark Automation is seeking an Electrical/Controls Engineer to design electrical controls for packaging machinery and material handling equipment. You will develop BOMs, program PLCs and HMIs, and contribute hands-on during startups.

You will work with Allen-Bradley PLCs (Studio 5000) and HMIs (FactoryTalk View ME), create control solutions for high-speed packaging, and collaborate with vendors. Travel up to 25% with domestic and international assignments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent with 3+ years in control solution design.
Experience designing and implementing control systems for OEM packaging machinery.
Proficiency with Allen-Bradley PLCs and related software in industrial environments.
Experience with servo drives, high-speed packaging, and robotics is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design electrical controls including schematics, panel layouts, and field wiring.
Program PLCs and HMIs (Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View ME) and integrate servo motors.
Develop BOMs and obtain vendor quotes; ensure NEC/UL compliance.
Assist in startup, debugging, and provide operator training.
Travel up to 25% (domestic and some international).
