Job summary

General Mills’ Wellston, OH plant seeks a Controls Engineer to lead electrical and controls systems. You will work with project engineers, electricians, and external vendors to implement PLC and HMI solutions and ensure safety and reliability in manufacturing processes.

The role requires ABET-accredited engineering training and 3+ years of experience in electrical/controls, with strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA standards and plant practices. Some travel and shift flexibility may be required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering or similar.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• Experience with electrical codes (NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 79) and plant standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for electrical and controls systems across the Wellston Plant.
• Lead PLC and HMI hardware/software implementations and network commissioning.
• Troubleshoot and support operations and maintenance in controls and information systems.
• Coach and develop controls team and manage external integrators when needed.
• Support plant capital projects and obsolescence management for controls.
