Job summary

Socket.dev seeks an engineering professional to lead process controls and electrical design for plant improvements. You will guide projects from concept through implementation, coordinating with vendors and contractors to meet schedules and budgets.

The role requires strong knowledge of HMI, ControlLogix, electrical schematics, and VFD control with a focus on GMP and safety in a food processing environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering (preferably electrical) or related field.
• 5–8 years of multidisciplinary technical experience in food industry, including plant construction or expansion.
• Experience with HMI and ControlLogix programming, one-line diagrams, electrical schematics, pumps and VFD control.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on controls, electrical design, construction, and maintenance matters; investigate problems and propose solutions.
• Develop, organize, and maintain process controls and electrical specifications, standards, and parameters for process stability and efficiency.
• Manage multiple engineering projects for assigned locations; coordinate with vendors and contractors.
