Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Controls Project Engineer in Milwaukee, WI to lead the design and implementation of PLC and HMI systems for diverse automation projects. You will own controls work from concept to commissioning, collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers to drive successful outcomes.

The role emphasizes robotics, vision, and motion control within advanced automation environments, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers and grow technical leadership.

Qualifications

Experience with PLC and HMI programming, preferably Allen-Bradley
Background in custom automation, machine building, or systems integration
Experience with troubleshooting and commissioning automated equipment
Robotics, vision, and motion control experience preferred
Strong communication and project ownership skills

Responsibilities

Design and program PLC and HMI systems
Lead controls execution on custom automation projects
Support robotics, machine vision, motion control, and industrial networking
Commission systems and provide startup support
Work directly with customers and cross-functional engineering teams
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
