Job summary

MPI is seeking a hands-on senior controls engineer to develop and manage control systems for specialized equipment. You will lead a team, create electrical schematics, PLC programs, and HMI logic while ensuring safety and efficiency.

The role emphasizes Lean culture, continuous improvement, and collaboration with Sr. Mechanical Engineering. Domestic travel for installation and SAT may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 6–10 years of related experience.
• Experience in electrical design, schematics, and machine tool design.
• Strong PLC and HMI programming experience.
• Robotics programming knowledge with ABB/Fanuc desirable.
• ITAR compliance and US citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the controls engineering team on multiple projects.
• Develop electrical schematics and PLC/HMI logic.
• Provide guidance to other controls engineers.
• Travel to customer sites for installation and SAT as needed.
