Job summary
H. T. PROF Group in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer to own PLC, VFD, and HMI programs and to serve as the subject-matter expert for automation.
You will collaborate with technicians, supervisors, and managers to solve high-impact challenges and drive reliability across production lines. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline (BSEE preferred).
- 5+ years of related experience with a technical degree or certification, or 10+ years without a degree.
- Advanced proficiency with Rockwell Software: Studio 5000, RSLogix 5000/500, FactoryTalk View Studio.
- Hands-on experience designing and laying out control panels for new production equipment.
Responsibilities
- Design, test, and integrate modifications for high-speed production lines.
- Lead automation projects with implementation and strategic recommendations.
- Perform proactive maintenance to maximize uptime and reliability.
- Troubleshoot electrical, control systems, and robotics across material transfer applications.
- Independently diagnose issues even with limited documentation.
